Choose Your Film

Two Films.
Two Kinds of Privacy.

"Privacy film" isn't one product. One-way mirror film gives you daytime privacy while preserving your view out; frosted film gives you around-the-clock privacy with soft, diffused light. The right choice depends on the room.

Daytime Privacy

One-Way Mirror Film

One-way mirror film adds a reflective finish to your glass. During the day, the outside is brighter than the inside, so from the street the window works like a mirror โ€” neighbours see sky and trees reflected back, while you see out clearly and your rooms stay bright.

One thing we tell every customer up front: the effect depends on light. At night, when your interior lights are on and it's dark outside, the mirror effect reverses and people can see in. If a room needs privacy after dark, close the blinds you already have โ€” or choose frosted film, which never reverses.

Best for: living rooms, kitchens, home offices, and street-facing windows where you want privacy without giving up the view.

Frosted Film

Frosted film turns clear glass into a smooth, etched-glass finish that obscures the view in both directions โ€” day or night, lights on or off. It still passes plenty of soft, diffused daylight, so the space never feels dark or closed in.

Because it doesn't depend on light conditions, frosted is the film we recommend wherever privacy has to hold at every hour. It's also a clean, architectural look โ€” no hardware, no fabric, nothing to maintain.

Best for: bathrooms and shower glass, front-door sidelights, entryways, bedroom windows, and office partitions.

Install Day

Clean Install.
Three Simple Steps.

Most privacy film installs are finished in a single day โ€” smaller jobs like a bathroom or front entry are often done in a couple of hours. Here's how it goes.

01

Assess & Quote

We look at your glass, the sightlines from the street and neighbouring homes, and when you actually need the privacy โ€” daytime only, or around the clock. You get a firm written quote before anything is booked.

02

Prepare & Install

Every pane is cleaned thoroughly before the film goes on. The film is precision-cut to your glass and applied to the interior surface โ€” no bubbles, no gaps, no lifted edges, and no mess left behind.

03

Walkthrough & Warranty

We walk you through every window before we leave and explain the simple care routine. Every installation is backed by Sunquell's 1-year workmanship warranty.

Common Questions

Privacy Film FAQs

Can people see in at night with one-way mirror film?

With interior lights on after dark, yes โ€” the mirror effect reverses whenever it's brighter inside than outside. That's true of every one-way mirror film on the market. For privacy at night, use your existing blinds after dark, or choose frosted film, which works at every hour in any light.

Will privacy film make my rooms dark?

No. One-way mirror film keeps rooms bright and preserves your view out. Frosted film obscures the view in both directions but still passes soft, diffused daylight โ€” a bathroom with frosted glass stays naturally lit all day.

Does privacy film also cut heat and UV?

Reflective one-way mirror films can do double duty: depending on the film you choose, they reject up to 80% of solar heat and 99% of UV, which helps with hot rooms and fading floors and furniture. Frosted film is chosen for privacy and light diffusion rather than heat control.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are finished in a single day; smaller jobs often take just a couple of hours. The film is applied to your existing glass, so there's no glass replacement and no construction.

Is the work covered by a warranty?

Yes. Every installation is covered by Sunquell's 1-year workmanship warranty โ€” if anything about the install isn't right, we come back and make it right.
